The co-founder of Mass Fire Prevention Inc, John Gannon started MFP from the ground up. He began his career in the US Navy Sea Bee’s as a pipe fitter (UT). From there he became a sprinkler apprentice in the private sector. After serving his apprenticeship he became a journeyman sprinkler fitter, running installations with various size crews. In 1984 he co-founded Mass Fire Prevention with Jim McHugh Sr. as a small sprinkler service company. Through the years Mass Fire has grown into the company is it today.

John also is a fire sprinkler code instructor for the Gould Construction Institute for the past 17 years. During that time he was awarded the instructor of the year in 2004 while maintaining a 90% passing rate of student passing their journeyman’s test for the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety.
